Training and Internship Programme — 2026

A programme for young Angolans living in the United States, offering practical experience in the work of the Embassy.

About the programme

The Embassy of the Republic of Angola in the United States of America invites applications for its Training and Internship Programme. The programme enables young Angolans to take part in the Embassy’s work while developing their academic, professional and civic skills.

Your letter of intent must be addressed to His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the United States of America.

Required documents

  • Letter of intent.
  • Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae.
  • Copy of your Angolan Identity Card or passport.
  • Proof of residence.
  • Proof of enrolment or a certificate.
  • Other relevant documents (if applicable).

Main activities

  • Take part in the Embassy’s diplomatic, consular, administrative, economic and cultural activities.
  • Support the Embassy’s teams.
  • Gain practical experience and develop professional skills, a commitment to public service and a sense of responsibility towards Angola.

Eligibility requirements

  • Angolan nationality.
  • Legal residence in the United States.
  • Between 18 and 27 years of age.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese and English.
  • Currently enrolled at university or graduated within the past three years.
  • An interest in the Embassy’s areas of work.
