President João Lourenço received Florizelle Liser, President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), in an audience today (26). The U.S.-based organisation promotes the U.S.-Africa Business Summit, whose next edition is scheduled to take place in Luanda from June 22 to 25 this year.
The meeting at the Office of the President of the Republic focused specifically on reviewing matters related to preparations for the upcoming business summit, which is expected to bring together more than 1,500 participants.
“It was a great pleasure to have this meeting with His Excellency President João Lourenço,” the President and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa told journalists, adding that preparations for the business summit “are progressing well.”
Florizelle Liser also noted that the June summit in Luanda will provide an opportunity for the Trump Administration to see what Africa as a whole, and Angola in particular, under the leadership of President João Lourenço, can offer in terms of economic and financial development.
The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) is a trade association established in 1993 that promotes business relations between the United States of America and African countries.
