The Embassy assists Angolan citizens in serious and unforeseen circumstances.
Lost documents
Loss, theft or destruction of a passport, with a safe conduct pass issued for return to Angola.
Accident or serious illness
Contact with the family, guidance on health services and follow-up of the case.
Detention
Consular support for a detained citizen, in accordance with international law.
Death
Support for families with repatriation formalities and registration.
What the Embassy cannot do
Consular assistance does not cover the payment of medical expenses, legal fees, fines or travel tickets, nor any interference in legal proceedings under way in the United States.
